Set in a boarding school, school prefects are assigned by the authorities to maintain order at night - however they abuse their power for evil deeds. Head prefect “Shan” and “Smoker” take the lead in selling marijuana. It was a fine business, until a teacher found drugs in the locker of a classmate. In desperation, the classmate leaks the truth of the drug business! Shan, holding a grudge, takes revenge on the rat, but goes too far, causing bloodshed. In a world of violence and chaos, Smoker, with little conscience left, must choose between good and evil; meanwhile, the gap between prefects and the students would lead to an irretrievable conflict...

Tino Wu & Antonio Tam, both graduated from HKAPA, majored in Screenwriting, love watching films, currently working as freelance screenwriters, and participated in different films & TVs productions.

The inspiration of”Anatomy of Rats”comes from the resentment that has been accumulated in our society. We want to write about the anxiety of young people, using the boarding school environment as a backdrop. When we wrote that the students were governed by totalitarianism, causing a battle between the prefects and students, we then discovered that what we were writing was actually the portrayal of Hong Kong.
